An Ambassador for Planned Gifts
Beacon Society member and Yarmouth Port resident Doris Lorch has
always been a planner, both at work and in life. She has valued the
health care services offered at Cape Cod Hospital because of the
care both she and her parents have received through the years. She
planned to make a difference.
“I’m thrilled to have the hospital so nearby; the care has always been
excellent. It’s great how they’ve expanded with wonderful new services
over the years. I figure they can always use my gift, for equipment or
buildings. I want to be able to help, and putting them in my will is one
way to do just that.”
The Charitable Gift Annuity was another gift plan that Doris decided made financial sense. “I asked about this gift plan and Nancy Leanues at the Foundation offered me examples on how it worked, which helped me reach a decision to gift an annuity. The payments will continue throughout my life and the rate of return is fixed and generous. I thought so highly of the program that I have recommended it to friends. I think it’s important to plan ahead and think of these things,” Doris said.
Through her bequest intention and gift annuity, Doris is one of the 180 Beacon Society members.
